Privacy policy
Effective 11 July 2026
What the app collects
The public traffic, camera, petrol, and currency features do not require an account. The iOS app may request foreground location access only when you tap “Use current location”. Your coordinates are used on your device to choose the nearest Singapore area and are not stored by us.
Optional account data
If you sign in with Google on the website, we receive the basic profile information Google provides, such as your name, email address, and profile image. We store your login session and any routes, destinations, labels, coordinates, map links, or notes that you choose to save. We use this information only to provide your account and personalised route features.
Service and analytics data
Requests are sent to our hosted service to retrieve live traffic and related public data. Our hosting and analytics providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, device or browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic logs for security, reliability, and aggregate usage measurement. We do not sell personal data or use the app for cross-app advertising tracking.
Data sources and links
Traffic cameras and conditions, petrol information, currency rates, map directions, and checkpoint app links come from third-party or government services. Opening an external link is governed by that service’s own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual saved items or permanently delete your account and its saved data from the account page. You may also ask for help through the project support channel below.
Contact and changes
For privacy or support questions, use the SG Checkpoint Traffic support page. We may update this policy when the app or its providers change; the effective date above will be revised when we do.
